Contributor License Agreement

Thank you for your interest in contributing to Pike LSP. This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") documents the rights granted by contributors to the project maintainers.

Definitions​

"You" (or "Your") means the copyright owner or legal entity authorized by the copyright owner that is making this Agreement.

"Contribution" means any original work of authorship, including any modifications or additions to an existing work, that is intentionally submitted by You for inclusion in the Project.

"Project" means the Pike LSP software project, including all associated packages, documentation, and related materials.

Grant of Rights​

You hereby grant to the Project maintainers and to recipients of software distributed by the Project a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute Your Contributions and such derivative works.

Patent License​

You hereby grant to the Project maintainers and to recipients of software distributed by the Project a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You that are necessarily infringed by Your Contribution(s) alone or by combination of Your Contribution(s) with the Work to which such Contribution(s) was submitted.

Representations​

You represent that:

  1. Authority to Contribute: You are legally entitled to grant the above licenses. If your employer(s) has rights to intellectual property that you create, you represent that you have received permission to make Contributions on behalf of that employer, or that your employer has waived such rights for your Contributions.

  2. Original Work: Your Contribution is Your original creation, or You have sufficient rights to grant the rights conveyed by this Agreement.

  3. No Conflicting Obligations: You are not aware of any claims, liens, or encumbrances on Your Contribution that would conflict with the rights granted herein.

  4. Disclosure of Third-Party Content: If Your Contribution includes or is based on any work not owned by You, You will provide complete details of any third-party license or other restriction associated with any part of Your Contribution.

Submitting Contributions​

You agree that all Contributions are submitted under the terms of this Agreement. You acknowledge that the Project maintainers are not obligated to use or include Your Contribution in the Project.

No Support Obligation​

You are not expected to provide support for Your Contributions, except to the extent You desire to provide support.

Warranty Disclaimer​

Unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing, You provide Your Contributions on an "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or implied, including, without limitation, any warranties or conditions of TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Agreement​

By submitting a Contribution to this Project, You agree to the terms of this Contributor License Agreement.

This CLA is based on the Apache Software Foundation Individual Contributor License Agreement and is adapted for the Pike LSP project.
